Automatic can lid stamping machines are fully automated,high-efficiency equipment used for the stamping of can lids. They come in various configurations, including single-head, double-head, multi-head, and CNC automatic stamping presses.

Currently, single-head and double-head automatic stamping machines are commonly used in China. These machines mainly consist of stamping, automatic feeding and discharging, transmission systems, automatic controls, safety protection devices, and round cap machines, with each section comprising several components.

(1) Single-Head Press: This type features a single-head, single-station press equipped with a set of dies that can complete blanking, deep drawing, and forming processes in one cycle. When producing metal caps of different sizes and shapes, the corresponding dies must be replaced. The press operates at various pressure specifications, with options for manual or automatic feeding and waste removal.

(2) Double-Head Automatic Press: This machine is a double-head, single-station automatic press that utilizes two sets of identical dies. It can work with wave-shaped materials provided by a wave shearing machine (ordinary strip materials can also be used) to complete blanking, deep drawing, and forming processes in one cycle. Each stroke can simultaneously produce two metal caps. When changing the size and shape of the caps, both sets of dies must be replaced. Compared to single-head presses, this equipment offers higher production efficiency, making it suitable for large batch productions with fewer specifications. It is equipped with automatic feeding and waste removal systems.

(3) Multi-Head Automatic Press: This type of press is primarily used for stamping aluminum caps from aluminum alloy strips, featuring multiple sets of dies. Each stroke can produce several aluminum caps, making it ideal for high-speed production lines, especially for easy-open lids, with speeds exceeding 2000 caps per minute.

(4) CNC Automatic Press: This press employs microcomputer control and can operate with either single or multiple dies. It is mainly used for directly stamping full sheets of tinplate, eliminating the need for cutting operations. The machine can automatically complete the stamping process on full sheets based on the sheet size and cap dimensions set by the operator, effectively improving material utilization and reducing labor intensity.

(5) Round Edge Machine: The edges of can lids stamped from the press are perpendicular to the lid surface, which is not conducive to proper rolling seal with the can body. Therefore, the edges must be rounded, bending approximately 35° toward the center of the lid surface. After rounding, the lid's diameter is slightly smaller than before. Consequently, the alignment from the inlet to the outlet of the round edge machine is in a logarithmic curve, with the offset reflecting the difference in outer diameters of the two lids before and after rounding.
